Taliban peace talks on the table for war leaders
Chicago News.Net Tuesday 16th March, 2010
Afghan President Hamid Karzai and US President Barack Obama have spoken via a video conferencing line over future prospects of peace with the Taliban.
Mr Karzai's office has said the talks went on for about an hour, at which time he briefed President Obama on his efforts to speed up the peace and reconciliation process with Taliban members.
The Afghan president said he and Mr Obama had discussed the need for a unified approach in peace talks, which he said was necessary in reaching a political settlement between the Afghan government and Taliban fighters.
The Afghan leader began an effort this year to reach out to the Taliban in an effort to reduce violence.
Mr Karzai also discussed with President Obama his concern that Afghanistan could be used in a proxy war between nations, including Pakistan against India or the United States against Iran.
He said the Afghan people were worried the different powers could use Afghan territory to fight each other.
India and Pakistan have been vying for influence in Afghanistan with India accusing Pakistan of backing militant groups and Pakistan condemning India for building diplomatic missions in Afghanistan that support anti-government groups in Pakistan.
Iran and the United States believe each other’s governments publicly support the Afghan government while secretly engaging in activities that destabilise it. Email this story to a friend

Karzai and Obama in tele-link on Taliban matters
Obama is out of his league in Afganistan. He seems to be dumping the majority of his presidential clout on saddleing the U.S with compromised healthcare reform. Those in charge of U.S. military adventures are same as before. The agenda remains the same. Remember that current Nato/U.S. commander Gen.McKrystal was involved in the Pat Tillman cover-up.
U.S. special envoy to Afganistan/Pakistan Richard Hollbrooke is an old hand at getting unstable regimes to lean towards U.S. and European capitalists interests.
My research informs me that the CIA were responsible for arming the Taliban in the early 80’s, so if Iran is now arming them, then we maybe already involved in a proxy war, which is wouldn’t be surprising.
God bless Afganistan and soon.

(R) 2012 DAN QUAYLE Presidential / Policy on Obama's Afghanistan War.
(R) 2012 DAN QUAYLE Presidential / Policy on Obama’s Afghanistan War: We Republican US Congress & Senate wild-guess the Obama’s misleading 18-month timeline on Afghanistan War to cleansing Taliban commanded by Obama’s left-arm man Gen. Stanley McChrystal and right-arm man Robert M. Gates is about to fall apart and disarrayed Obama’s ambition and Obama’s poorest “peace and war” mis-judgement. Now Obama and his Democratic controlled Congress and Senate floor are trying to begin to flip-flop their Democrat’s position on their Obama’s 18-month timeline combat, trying to make an “U” turn to back off before their Obama-Biden led Afghanistan War “will” to red-face in front of American people, embarrass those narrow-minded fans of Obama. This “black nut” in White House is about to fall apart of ALL his foreign policies and now what the Negro can do is to cover up like a previous “WaterGate” replayed, this time is by Democratic Party. Anyway, the 2013 US President DAN QUAYLE’s White House will joint-law enforcement with Russian President DMITRY MEDVEDEV under the U.N. Security Council to clean up all the Obama-Biden presidency’s mess and crackdown the Taliban’s Opium farm operations and Heroin trafficking. JOIN US, the 2012 DAN QUAYLE Presidential campaign the “2009-2012 CEASE-FIRE With Taliban” together with Republican US Congress and Senate.
* Republicans remind you DO NOT forget to pray for our US POW Bowe Robert Bergdahl, age 24, from Ketchum, Idaho to get a release from Taliban sooner. Bowe’s parents and girl friend want Bowe to know they LOVE him very much and hang in there. Take care yourself (in Mosque).
** 2010 (R) CARLETON S. FIORINA (Carly) for 2010 US Senator of California.
