Mother and father of 8-year-old girl admit to raping her

A 47-year-old woman in Lacey, Washington state, has been sentenced, along with her husband, 51, to jail time for raping her eight-year-old daughter.
Donna Marie Whisenhunt pleaded guilty to three counts of first-degree child rape as part of a plea agreement.
The couple were arrested in May after their daughter, who they adopted from China soon after her birth, told school counselors of sexual abuse at home.
Thurston County Superior Court Judge Gary Tabor sentenced Donna Marie to 16 years to life.
Her husband, Eddy Whisenhunt, a former bus driver for Intercity Transit, was sentences to 18 years in prison.
Although the abuse occurred over a four year period, both parents have maintained that, while they were abusing the girl, they were unaware that the other was doing the same.
“This is one of those truly heartbreaking cases,” Thurston County Deputy Prosecuting Attorney John Skinder said after Eddy Whisenhunt’s sentencing.
He added, after Donna’s sentencing, that the mother had apologized for her crimes, and hoped her daughter would be able to move on from the trauma.
The child was placed in the custody of Child Protective Services after the allegations first came out, and has, according to authorities, been thriving in her new home.  Email this story to a friend

I got an Idea stupid, why don’t you sit in your own pathetic excuse for a country and shut the hell up! The stupidity of people with obvious inteligence level issues never ceases to amaze me. At least here in the U.S. we don’t judge a country by the few morally inept of the population. If you want to act all hollier than thou that’s fine but untill you can conceive of a clear and thoughtful opinion, do the world and the readers of this page a favor and GET BENT!!!!

Are you serious? What part of Morally Inept did you miss, you idiot? I truly beleive that all rapist’s, murderer’s, pedophiles and MORON’s should be taken out behind a building and shot. My entire issue was with the comments that the biggot before me made. Generalizations are a last ditch effort made by the stupid to justify their own existance. The crime he was discussing is unforgivable but at the same time so is intolerance; be it ethnic, geographic, religious or gender based. my godforsaken country
this happened close to where i live. It is horrifying. All our cultural values have been destroyed by this rampant American progress toward.. what? Choking in our own filth? I know these insane things happen all over the world but it just seems like no one’s got anything left to care about. The spectacle is almost expended. Watch TV, rape kids, or be an internet troll..
Don’t worry, though. Say what you will about American prisons, but prisoners have a kind of community, and that community can be particularly harsh is they find out one of the inmates is inside for this sort of thing. In other words, they won’t last very long, and no one will fret about the paperwork.

Who Should Bring Politics Into This Crime?
My heart is broken between sorrow for this child, revulsion at the spectacle this has caused and what people do when they supplant morals for liscenciousness. Many I have known from youth followed the vast majority off the cliff of destructive lifestyles and I lived in the area where the crimes occured. If their crimes were known then we would have dealt harshly, as any community would but sadly, though they may be suspect, the rape of a child may go unreported anywhere.
I find it horrendous that those who live far away from the crime find the need to score political points from a position of authority by being from another culture, perhaps one that believes in Sharia Law. Rest assured you are not far from this crime. Perhaps the difference is that if the crime were to be reported, the victim would then be murdered.

China should probably stop letting us adopt their children knowing that some of our parents lied to them just to abuse their girls.
When one cockroach is found in the kitchen, how many more are hidden in the closets yet to be uncovered ?? .......... I suggest our relevant agencies do a REGULAR checks for the children’s sake !

I don’t agree with what Syed Suhail Khalid said about US being a country of rapists and murderers. I remember Mohammad the prophet of Islam married a neighbour’s daughter, Aisha, at age 6 ! and had consummated her at 9! If you believe GOD would send such a child-molester as his messenger to write Qur’an and establish a religion from this prophet, then you must be in the company of the very couple sentenced in this NEWS !
